Trailer and Tent Dry Camping a Bit Farther from Bozeman
- Battle Ridge, a Forest Service Campground North of Bozeman
- Fairy Lake, a Forest Service Campground North of Bozeman: This campground is located at a delightful, small mountain lake and is also a trail head for a nice hike to the top ridge of the Bridger Range and a view over Bozeman. However, with few campsites it is a bit of a risk in terms of finding a camp spot. Furthermore, we would not recommend taking a trailer in, as the road is just wide enough for one vehicle in some places (the Forest Service states correctly that the road in is not suitable for RVs or towed campers). Tenting is the way to go.
